The Next AI Data Advantage Will Come From the Physical World

Physical AI Data

What happens when public data stops being enough?

The conventional AI economy was built around enormous internet datasets. But frontier models increasingly face a different problem. You cannot endlessly scrape the internet and expect the next generation of intelligence to emerge from the same information.

Physical AI makes the problem even harder. Robotics needs real-world environments, physical interactions, failure states, human demonstrations, sensor data, manipulation data, spatial reasoning, and industrial environments.

That data doesn't simply exist on Wikipedia. It has to be generated. And once data generation becomes expensive, data becomes infrastructure.

The next AI data advantage won't come from having more information. It will come from owning the machines that generate information.
